This Jafü was no doubt established in order to control the employment of V/KG 40.

  
 

 

  
   
  Modern airfield lay-out of Bordeaux-Merignac.  Based on supplementary information it has now been established that the GefStd was located in the vicinity of the eastern part of the military apron, as seen on the photo below.
